Setting/Report cancel or no show to Expedia
You can update a reservation if the travel dates or prices applied to the reservation were modified. Following rules apply:
- Cannot be done before the reservation's check-in date.
- Can be performed on Hotel Collect reservations for independently managed properties operating under the Hotel Collect or Expedia Traveller Preference business model. Not available for Expedia *Collect or Hotel Collect Group Reconciliation properties.
- Check-in date must be the current date and/or in the past.
- Can be reconciled from the check-in date until the fourth day of the month after the checkout date.
- Amounts for dates included in the original reservation cannot be modified to a value four times above the actual amounts applicable to that date, for additional dates, there is no limit.
You can cancel a reservation if the guest does not show up. Following rules apply:
- Cannot be done before the reservation's check-in date.
- Can be performed on Hotel Collect reservations for independently managed properties operating under the Hotel Collect or Expedia Traveller Preference business model. Not available for Expedia *Collect or Hotel Collect Group Reconciliation properties.
- Check-in date must be the current date and/or in the past.
- Can be reconciled from the check-in date until the fourth day of the month after the checkout date.
- Fee cannot be more than the initial booking amount.
You can cancel a reservation as requested by the guest (before the check-in date). Following rules apply:
- Can be performed on Expedia Collect and Hotel Collect reservations.
- All penalties are waived when a reservation is cancelled before the check-in date. Cancellations that require penalty charges are not supported.
- Cancel a reservation as requested by the guest (on/after the check-in date):
- Can be performed on Hotel Collect reservations for independently managed properties operating under the Hotel Collect or Expedia Traveller Preference business model. Not available for Expedia *Collect or Hotel Collect Group Reconciliation properties.
- Check-in date must be the current date and/or in the past.
- Can be reconciled from the check-in date until the fourth day of the month after the checkout date.
- Fee cannot be more than the initial booking amount.
